HOMESCHOOL: Kitchen Science Lab/FRIDAYS at 12:30PM

90 minute class

Playing with food, it’s something kids love to do. What’s better than playing with food? In our Kitchen Science Lab, we use food to learn. Each week we will explore the science that lives in our pantry. Through creating food science experiments, kids will have hands on experience exploring food and what happens when you mix them up.

Throughout the session, kids will make observations and talk about items we are using and be able to cut open various foods to explore them, inside and out. In addition to traditional cooking tools, we may use a magnifying glass or microscope to examine items up close, test tubes to examine stages of matter, and heating elements to explore changes in temperature. This is all while baking, cooking, stirring and kneading our way to a delicious snack!

Join us for a week or for a full session. Prices include all materials, ingredients and hand outs.
